Supported Accommodation Service now Ofsted Registered.

Great news; Creative Living Care’s Supported Accommodation Service for Leaving Care is now, officially, Ofsted Registered (as of the 4th October 2023).

As most of us now know, all Supported Accommodation Services for Children and Young People in England are required to be fully registered by Ofsted by the 28th October 2023 (inclusive), if they wish to continue operating.

As frontline practitioners, Matt (background as a Social Worker) and Kris (background as a Substance Misuse Worker) have always been advocates for the need of the sector becoming regulated by Ofsted. For too long they have felt that there has been a number of services operating within the sector that have no relevant experience working with children and young people and as a result, their services are often poor and with little regard to the outcomes of those they are supposed to be supporting. Matt and Kris believe that the need for registration with Ofsted will naturally filter out poor services that have little to no experience in supporting those leaving care.

Our registration is just another example of the fantastic work our practitioners and managers undertake every single day. Their dedication, commitment and willingness to support children and young people in supported accommodation is second to none and we are thankful for everything they do for and on behalf of Creative Living Care.
